Are Auctions Dead?

Some people out there claim that eBay auctions are a dead format. I disagree. While eBay may be moving away from auctions toward a now now now mentality, I have to admit that I spent the past 3 days trying to save $10 on a special printer. I could have easily bought it - they are plentiful on eBay. However, I knew I could get a deal if I waited - and I only waited three days.

I was right. I saved $10 - in this case about 15%.

This is where eBay's thinking is awry - people STILL DO love to hunt for deals and wait for them. Wake up, eBay.

Simple Human Garbage Cans

So, I figured it out. I figured out why it is so hard to keep my stupid kitchen clean. My garbage can. It turns out that the biggest design feature of my kitchen meant to keep it clean, is actually the very undoing of my ability to keep it clean.

The little can. That's the problem. Its a small can in a big person place. It fills up when I throw one paper towel into it. Its useless. It fills up and before I know it I am not using it because it is full, and its only been like 3 hours since I emptied it, and now I;m not going to do that AGAIN today, am I? So I don't.

I don't have a neat kitchen, either.
